Sleeping Bear Dunes Art , Empire Bluff Dunes 12" x 16"- “Water’s Shimmer”

I created Water's Shimmer on location along the Empire Bluff Trail on the top of the Bluff in September. I hiked in to find this beautiful spot in the morning and painted it throughout the day. The sunlight caused the water to shimmer in such a beautiful way. The September colors were gorgeous against the blue hues, and I wanted to capture their beauty within this scene. 

Framed in a birch wood floater frame.
