I created this painting after being inspired by a grouping of mushrooms I found in the deep forest of the Porcupine Mountains State Park. I was drawn to the way one mushroom was gently growing over top of the other on the log as if it were protecting it. This scene is a great visual metaphor for a parent/child relationship. Perfect as a gift to a loved one, or to remind you of your love for another.
